The lovable monster breed of characters of Monster High has been popular to kids and adult doll collectors because of their fashionable and modern outfits and accessories. For the year 2010, Mattel – company that brought you Monster High Dolls, have launched the limited edition Black and White Frankie Stein doll.

Collectors and children are in for a treat since only 5,000 Grayscale Frankie Stein dolls have been made. The limited edition piece was introduced during the Comic Con in San Diego of last year. This exclusive grayscale merchandise was introduced by the doll series creator, Garrett Sander. The doll was also encased in a special frame that is also in grayscale and then outlined with a shiny silver accent.

The theme definitely transports you back to the old era of black and white television which either gives you a creepy feel or nostalgia of the classic days. For the year 2011, the Monster High Doll series launched the limited edition Ghoulia Yelps in her Dead Fast comic hero costume. Interestingly, the doll was encased in two boxes when it was introduced during the Comic Con in July 2011. The outer box is in black and white but inside it is another box which encased Ghoulia and her accessories. The inner box comes in a theme of red metallic, black, and white colors.

Once unboxed, the Ghoulia doll comes with two glasses: her regular white rimmed eyeglass and her Dead Fast black shades with red metallic rim and beak like design that covers her identity. She also comes with a stand, Dead Fast comic book, a tiny tote bag that contains a miniature Dead Fast action figure, Dead Fast buckle, badge, and high-heeled boots with a wing-like design.

Ghoulia’s Dead Fast costume is mainly black with silver speckles and also comes with red trimmings cut like a lightning flash. The exclusive edition Ghoulia doll was initially available for purchase during the Comic Com and collectors can also purchase the Ghoulia bags which come in two designs: one has Ghoulia’s image reading her favorite comics Dead Fast and the other one wherein Ghoulia is looking fanatically at her superhero. Collectors who have not been able to get it during the Comic Con can get it from online stores and secondary market such as eBay and Amazon.
